Why Locals Love Pitu
Pitu Cafe is a charming culinary gem nestled in the vibrant neighborhood of Jatimulyo, Lowokwaru, Malang City. Tucked away on the second floor of a discreet building along Jl. Semanggi Timur, this cafe offers an intimate escape rich in authentic flavors and cozy ambiance. The slightly hidden location adds to its allure, inviting guests to discover a warm, home-like atmosphere once inside, where comfort and creativity blend seamlessly.
Pitu’s menu is a delightful fusion of traditional and innovative tastes, skillfully crafted to captivate adventurous food lovers. A standout dish is their cold pho, praised by many as a refreshing twist on a classic favorite, delivering layers of aromatic broth and tender textures that dance on the palate. Alongside this, the long black coffee delights with its bold, smooth quality, providing a perfect complement to the rich food offerings.
The cafe’s dedication to unique flavors is evident in every bite—whether you’re savoring the depth of spices or enjoying the playful textures in their much-beloved desserts like Tosuni, the cat pudding that outshines many counterparts with its velvety, nuanced sweetness. For those seeking something special, the cafe even offers a charming “cat jelly” as a thank you for stellar reviews, adding a whimsical touch to the experience.
Atmosphere-wise, Pitu is bright and inviting, though its cozy seating features hard chairs that may prompt a brief moment of adjustment. Yet, this minor detail doesn’t detract from the overall feeling of warmth and belonging that pervades the space. It feels like a place where locals and visitors alike can slow down, savor every sip and morsel, and genuinely connect with the flavors and the community.
Customers often share their enthusiasm for Pitu’s culinary artistry and homely vibe. One satisfied patron, Rachman Yanuar, lauds the cafe for delivering uniquely authentic flavors unlike anywhere else. Another visitor, Ayeshia Faustine, recounts how discovering the cafe via social media turned into a memorable highlight of her Malang trip, praising both the food and the intimate, welcoming environment. This chorus of positive experiences reinforces Pitu’s reputation as a “must-try” destination for anyone seeking distinctive tastes paired with a relaxed, inviting atmosphere in Malang.
For those who appreciate culinary explorations mixed with a sense of place, Pitu Cafe offers not just a meal, but a genuinely heartfelt experience that lingers long after the last bite. Whether you're on the hunt for inventive fusion bites or simply a cozy spot to enjoy quality coffee and sweets, Pitu promises a flavorful journey worth embracing.

A unique restaurant that serves typical and authentic flavours of cuisine. A flavour that I haven't found anywhere else, congratulations on this success.

I found this place through social media and glad that I could visit this one during my visit back to Malang! The location is a bit hidden inside the alley and small sign, you might miss it if you dont really pay attention to it. The restaurant itself located at the second floor. However, once you go inside the restaurant, it feels nice and homey. When I came there in the afternoon, there were no one else except me. I came to tried their famous jiggly pudding but unfortunately it was sold out. In the end, I tried their main dish (chicken dish that I forgot the name; but it was recommended by the staff), and one soup as shown on pictures. All dishes were amazing and it was so sad there were no one else there. The price for the food can be considered mid to high range but it does worth with the portion as well as the taste you got. I really hope this place could stay long until the time I’ll be back to Malang! All staff were really friendly and very polite.

Small and bright, not the most comfortable with hard chairs. Tosuni, the cat pudding, is better than other cafe's capibara pudding. As a bonus for a 5-star review, you can get a cat jelly.

Cozy cafe with fusion korean food, tucked in a small street out of the main street. The atmosphere is nice for hangout. They're popular with their jiggly kitty pudding. Their food were great. You can go here for heavy meal or just snacking.
